N. Macedonia's Centralna Kooperativna Banka net profit falls in Q1

SKOPJE (N. Macedonia), April 29 (SeeNews) - North Macedonia's Centralna Kooperativna Banka [MSE:CKB] said that its net profit decreased 43.1% year-on-year to 9.5 million denars ($165,295/154,301 euro) in the first quarter of 2024.

The bank's first-quarter net interest income rose 11.5% on the year, to 82.5 million denars, while net fee and commission income fell 4.5% to 28.1 million denars, the bank said in an interim financial statement on Friday.

The bank's assets amounted to 12.2 billion denars at the end of March, lower than 12.4 billion denars at the end of 2023.

Loans and advances to customers other than banks inched up to 7.6 billion denars at the end of March from 7.5 billion denars at the end of last year, while deposits from customers other than banks increased to 10.2 billion denars from 9.9 billion denars.

The lender's shares last traded on the Macedonian Stock Exchange (MSE) on May 31, 2023, when they switched hands at an average price of 350 denars.
