Slovakia Business Confidence at 1-Year High

The industrial confidence indicator in Slovakia increased by 6 points from a month earlier to -0.3 in April 2024.

This was the highest reading since April 2023, mainly influenced by the growth of orders (-3 vs -16), particularly in the manufacture of transport equipment, and the expected production for the next three months (27 vs 22).

Moreover, increases were observed in both export order books (-12 vs -21) and selling prices (5 vs 1), while stocks of finished products remained unchanged (25).

On the other hand, current production deteriorated (-10 vs 12).
