📊 Crypto-Sticks: Chande Momentum Oacillator 1.0 by CryptorthyhmsFirst release from the Crypto-Sticks series of indicators... brought to you by Cryptorthyhms!
🚀 Indicator specific Info
I find this implementation of CMO useful for spotting divergences and for creating signals based on the indicator. Some divergences were highlighted on the chart/indicator showing you potential use cases.
🚀 Crypto-Sticks General Info
💭The idea behind this series isnt polished 100%, and I have some more options I will add in the future. But for now, I want to just release them, as I am not sure when I will have the time to put more work into them (many other big projects I am working on).
📊Its basically reinterpretations/remixes of all your favorite indicators. I calculate the values a little bit differently than normal, but the end result is creating a candlestick chart (for the indicator!). Then I added the option to plot them as Heiken Ashi candles to smooth out noise and make signaling easier.
🔊Lastly I implemented a Volume Weighting system for them all which simply normalizes volume and integrates it into the formulas for these indicators. For the most part this feature is experimental and doesnt provude huge utility (yet - I have other ways I want to try it as well - just no time).
💠I have found the candlestick implementation offers some unique perspectives and I hope you find it useful!
👍If you enjoy the indicators, feel free to give it a like and follow me! Many more free indicators to come in this series.

CMO_EMA (Chande Momentum Oscillator and EMA)
The absolute value of "CMO" alone makes it impossible to know the current location for the waves and there is a possibility of doing useless entry.
To prevent this, display EMA.

CMOfilt Strategy This indicator plots a CMO which ignores price changes which are less
than a threshold value. CMO was developed by Tushar Chande. A scientist,
an inventor, and a respected trading system developer, Mr. Chande developed
the CMO to capture what he calls "pure momentum". For more definitive
information on the CMO and other indicators we recommend the book The New
Technical Trader by Tushar Chande and Stanley Kroll.
The CMO is closely related to, yet unique from, other momentum oriented
indicators such as Relative Strength Index, Stochastic, Rate-of-Change, etc.
It is most closely related to Welles Wilder`s RSI, yet it differs in several ways:
- It uses data for both up days and down days in the numerator, thereby directly
measuring momentum;
- The calculations are applied on unsmoothed data. Therefore, short-term extreme
movements in price are not hidden. Once calculated, smoothing can be applied to the
CMO, if desired;
- The scale is bounded between +100 and -100, thereby allowing you to clearly see
changes in net momentum using the 0 level. The bounded scale also allows you to
conveniently compare values across different securities.
CMOav Strategy This indicator plots average of three different length CMO's. This indicator

Composite Momentum Index [LazyBear]This is a composite oscillator derived from modified 5/10/20 Chande's Dynamic Momentum Index values.
Volatility is factored in, by design. Look for OB/OS extremes and divergences.
I added the green/red ribbon look to make it easy to read :)

Variable Moving Average [LazyBear]Variable Moving Average, often abbreviated as VMA, is an Exponential Moving Average developed by Tushar S. Chande. VMA automatically adjusts its smoothing constant on the basis of Market Volatility.
Use this like other Moving Averages. I have added the following options that can be enabled via options page:
- Trend Direction Indication: Green = Up trend, Blue = Potential congestion, Red = down trend.
- Color bars based on Trend

Indicator: Intrady Momentum IndexThe Intraday Momentum Index (IMI), developed by Tushar Chande, is a cross-breed between RSI and candlestick analysis. IMI determines the candle type that dominated the recent price action, using that to pinpoint the extremes in intraday momentum.
As the market tries to bottom after a sell off, there are gradually more candles with green bodies, even though prices remain in a narrow range. IMI can be used to detect this shift, because its values will increase towards 70. Similarly, as the market begins to top, there will be more red candles, causing IMI to decline towards 20. When the market is in trading range, IMI values will be in the neutral range of 40 to 60.
Usually intraday momentum leads interday momentum. QStick can show interday momentum, it complements IMI. You will find it in my published indicators.
I have added volatility bands based OB/OS, in addition to static OB/OS levels. You can also turn on IMI Ehlers smoothing. BTW, all parameters are configurable, so do check out the options page.
