Nations Trust Bank Plc is a commercial bank, which offers financial product and services to individual, corporate, and institutional clients. It operates through the following business segments: Corporate Banking, Consumer and SME Banking, Leasing, Treasury Functions, Investment Banking, Insurance Broking, and Property Management. The Corporate Banking segment focuses on providing loans and other credit facilities and mobilizing deposit and current accounts from top to mid tier corporate and institutional customers. The Consumer and SME Banking segment handles the deposit mobilization from high net-worth, mass fluent, and emerging mass customer segments and providing personal financing including personal, home loans, and credit card facilities and also provides financing for small and medium customer segment including lending facilities and transactional banking. The Leasing segment offers finance leases and hire purchase facilities. The Treasury Functions segment includes foreign exchange trading, fixed income security trading, and assets and liabilities gapping management. The Investment Banking segment is comprised of trading, money market operations, and fund and fee based activities. The Insurance Broking segment focuses only on insurance broking. The Property Management segment refers to renting out premises. The company was founded on January 21, 1999 and is headquartered in Colombo, Sri Lanka.
