Great commissions and margin rates. Desktop software is a bit clunky and old-fashioned with slow data.

Confusing to setup properly for margin, still can't work out how to access forex

You can upgrade from a Cash to a Margin account in Client Portal. Once logged in, click the “User Menu” (head and shoulders icon in the top right corner) followed by “Settings”. Under “Account Settings” find the “Account Configuration” section and click “Account Type” to request an upgrade from Cash to Margin. Then click on “Continue” and complete the steps presented. Please note requests will be reviewed by the IBKR Risk and Compliance Departments and approval typically takes 24 to 48 hours. If you recently downgraded your account from Margin to Cash, market regulations require a waiting period of 30 days before your account becomes eligible for Margin again. Keeps disconnecting
Why can’t protect my position, adding take profits or stop lose, after market order like we have in paper TradingView,
Thank you for sharing this. When initiating a new position, you can attach a stop loss and profit order within the initial order. But if that initial order has already executed then there is a limitation with TradingView that they currently addressing. This is not an issue if you use IBKR’s trading platforms as you can submit bracket orders at any time. If you are still having issues, please contact us at tradingviewsupport@interactivebrokers.com. I'm having trouble after trouble trading through my broker.
The core functionality is more or less stable and nice. There are a few missing features and disturbing issues which IB/TV should solve. Eg. some ticker names are not matching (?) with the names on IB (eg. BRK B) and that means you can't trade them?!
Also it would be nice to have a detail screen for positions.. the position summary list with a view columns is nice but I would love to see for example a buy/sell history and other details about the position.
I wish I could trad option in trading view
