we may keep retesting the 31k area

The bears do seem to be getting some temporary momentum, but the bulls remain very strong at these levels. A drop below 31k would not be a realistic expectation at this point, because the volume is extremely high lately, that means that the bears are selling into massive buy action at these relatively high levels.
