Corporate fundamentals in the US can grow earnings. Wage growth and consumption are still high so the US will be safe from recession. The Fed played a major role in driving the market in 2022 in pushing through a monetary tightening campaign as it tried to bring down inflation which reached its highest level. whether the FED remains a market mover in 2023.
