The Teamsters labor union has reached a tentative agreement for a new contract with Costco Wholesale, which will be presented to the union's membership for a vote.

Costco Wholesale's shares rose 4.3% last week, outperforming the market decline and boosting the consumer staples sector, alongside Kroger, which gained 5%.
