PETR4 COMPARING CONSUMPTION, STOCK PRICES OF OIL COMPANIES IN BRAZIL USA, CANADA AND MEXICO. Dear Professor,Considering the demographic data, vehicle fleet of the countries, fuel consumption, per capita income, market value of oil companies and all considerations in due proportions, how is it possible to compare and evaluate the price of Petrobras shares? Today, at just US$5.19, is it worth much less than the international market?
Or is it that other companies' prices here in North America are overvalued?
Comparing with the USA, which consumes 8.29 times more oil than Brazil, even if we multiply the value of the PETR4 share, we will get the value of U$43.02, which is still far below Exxon (XOM) U$115.61, Chevron (CVX) U$179.45 or Marathon (MPC) costing U$132.85.
If we divide the value of the mentioned American shares, considering that the per capita income of the USA is 10 times greater than that of Brazil, we will obtain the result of Exxon (XOM) U$11.56, Chevron (CVX) U$17.94 or Marathon (MPC) U$13.28 . Even so, more than double or even more than 3 times in the case of Chevron.

Prezado Professor,Considerando os dados demográficos, frota de veículos dos países, consumo de combustiveis, renda per capita, valor de mercado das empresas de petroleo e todas considerações nas devidas proproções, como é possivel comparar e avaliar sobre o preço das ações da Petrobras? Hoje, em apenas U$5,19, será que está com valor muito abaixo do mercado internacional?
Ou será que os preços das outras empresas aqui na América do Norte estão supervalorizadas?
Comparando com os EUA que consome 8,29 vezes mais petróleo que o Brasil, mesmo se multiplicar o valor da ação da PETR4, iremos obter o valor de U$43,02, o que ainda é muito abaixo de Exxon (XOM) U$115.61, Chevron (CVX) U$179.45 ou Marathon (MPC) custando U$132.85.
Se dividirmos o valor das referidas açoes americanas , considerando que a renda percapita dos EUA, é 10 vezes maior que a do Brasil, obteremos o resultado de Exxon (XOM) U$11.56, Chevron (CVX) U$17.94 ou Marathon (MPC) U$13.28. Mesmo assim, mais que o dobro ou até mais de 3 vezes no caso da Chevron.
