Canadian Mutual Fund Trust (ON)
The fund aims to maximize potential for long-term capital growth and generate sustained dividend income by primarily investing in a portfolio comprised of equity securities of Canadian companies that pay dividends. The fund may also invest in income trusts (including REITs), equity securities of foreign companies (generally with not more than 30% allocation), convertible securities (including rights and warrants), ADRs and GDRs as the fund adviser sees fit. Based on a bottom-up, fundamental research, NDIV focuses on companies with stable dividends and a sustainable payout ratio. In particular, the fund adviser has a bias for companies capable of increasing their dividends as well as those proceeding to shares repurchases. Sectors, industries and regions are also diversified in order to reduce volatility. Furthermore, currency management strategies may be engaged to hedge against the risk of currency fluctuation between the CAD and other currencies of securities held by the fund.
