Current put/call ratios and extreme bullish sentiment in the market has me on edge!! Long the market right now is good, but be ready for a decent pull back - the sooner the better! My gut feeling is that this baby (UVXY) could go a lot higher, but my gut is not a good indicator. Wait for higher high plus green close on the daily Heikin Ashi chart, and keep a 10%...
The higher this goes the harder it will fall. Looking soooo ready for a pullback!!! The RSI on this baby is at a level that seems to precede a big drop. I just want to know when it's going to happen. Any hints anyone? Cracks appearing this week?? Late December???
If anyone has any tips for ways this risk on risk off chart can be refined please share.
My gut tells me that gold is going up (probably to 1775-1800) and gold miners are headed up too. HOWEVER, there appears to be negative divergence on both gold and GDX. A more patient (and wiser) trader than me would wait for that upward trend to be broken, then short this baby! Unfortunately I keep getting burned by Swing FOMO!!!
My timing was a fair way out on this baby, but seriously how is it possible that my upward estimate was an understatement??? Only wish I had the confidence to have held my position longer. I was buying heaps under $15 and got rid of them all by the time they hit $30 LOL! Need to learn a little more about where to set a trailing stop I think. Anybody got any tips?
Big jumps in the VIX are as inevitable as the poisonous spiders in my Aussie backyard! Every time one of these ETFs hits a new low it is a reasonable time to accumulate :D
VIX is fairly cyclical and should follow it's normal trend of spike then dip every few months.
With RSI at these levels it shouldn't be long before UVXY has a little jump. My target would at least be the low at around $36. Still much to learn, so happy for any feedback to refine whatever I am doing. Do I have a stop loss? No, but I should! Tips?
Looking good for a retest of the $49-50 level. Wanted to place a trade yesterday, but will probably now wait and see if this is the beginning of a new uptrend (if it breaks and holds above $55).
